The Foundation of Arts
has been serving Northeast Arkansas for over 20 years.
Its programs primarily serve Jonesboro, but extend to
residents of 130 other communities in 11 different
states. Each year The Foundation of Arts provides five
community theatre productions, including
The
Nutcracker Ballet
and furnishes arts
education to hundreds of students of all ages. Children
and adults are enlightened in dance, drama, visual arts
and music six days a week in its educational facility
The
Arts Center. The
Foundation of Arts also provides five outreach programs
to the community including; LEAP, Tuition Waiver
Program, Dance Closet, Educational Enrichment Series,
and Downtown Classic Films for area senior citizens.
Each program allows underserved individuals to
participate in art related activities to enhance their
quality of life. Local economy is stimulated profitably
as a result of The Foundation of Arts activities and
programming. In 2006, Jonesboro enjoyed the economic
benefits of 40,000 downtown visits because of art
classes and community theatre presentations. The
benefits provided by The Foundation of Arts far outreach
actors on stage or dancers in a studio. It contributes
to the economic and educational well-being of our entire
community.
Your donation provides:
$25 one student’s dance attire
$50 two students’ art supply fees for a semester
$100 25 students to attend an Educational Enrichment
Series performance
$250 10 hours of instruction for adults with
disabilities through the LEAP program
$500
funding for set construction of a children’s musical
$1,000 5 students to attend a 90-minute class for
one semester
$2,500 175 senior citizens to attend
The Nutcracker Ballet
$5,000 rights/royalties for the summer
musical
$10,000 rent/maintenance of The Arts Center for 6 months
