To those who auditioned:
Thank-you so much for your time and interest in
The Wizard of Oz! You have definitely made our
jobs difficult! If you were not cast, please do
not take it personally. A lot of things went
into putting this cast list together. Many
factors were taken into consideration when
casting this production, and just because you
might not have been chosen for a part does not
mean you are not talented or that we didn’t like
you. One crucial point that we had to consider
was not about choosing individuals for parts.
Rather, it was about selecting a group of people
for the show. Also, conflicts played a major
role in our decision making for the production.
We need you to be at as many (if not all) of the
rehearsals scheduled, and if you had many
conflicts preventing you from being present, you
might not have received a part.
For those of you that were cast-
Congratulations! You and an adult (if you are
under the age of 18), must be present for the
MANDATORY meeting tonight at 5:30. Please bring
your money for production fees and t-shirt
orders. Following the meeting, we will have a
quick read-through of the script. All speaking
roles must stay for the read-through! If you
are cast only as an Osian, Monkey, Winkie,
Jitterbug, Poppie, or Munchkin, you may leave
after the meeting has concluded.
If you DO NOT accept the role given to you,
please call The Foundation of Arts by
5:00 p.m. today to decline your role. 935-2726
